Call for Parts – Innovative Automotive Components Made of Plastic Sought
The International Society of Plastics Engineers (SPE Central Europe) invites all companies in the plastics industry to submit their innovative components for automotive applications for the 22nd AutomotiveAward. As in previous competitions, the awards will be presented in seven categories:
Body Interior
Body Exterior
Power Train
New Mobility
Chassis Unit / Structural Component
Electronical / Optical Part
Enabler Technology
The “Enabler Technology” category allows for the submission of new concept ideas, prototypes, innovative production equipment, automation, or new processes; in all other categories, only series production applications are permitted. The submission documents can be downloaded from the website www.automotiveaward.de. The submission deadline is January 31, 2024.
All companies involved in the development and production of a part or component may submit entries – including plastics processors, raw material producers, tool and machinery manufacturers, engineering and design firms, as well as automotive manufacturers and system suppliers. All submissions are evaluated according to objective criteria by an independent jury composed of experts from all areas of plastics engineering and automotive manufacturing. This ensures that not only products from large companies, but also developments from small and medium-sized enterprises have a chance to win this recognized and coveted award. The Award Night will take place in late June 2024 in Bonn.
In addition to the awards in the seven categories, Special Awards will be presented. The Grand Award recognizes the submission with the highest score. The Grand Innovation Award is given to the part most frequently rated as highly innovative by the jury. For the third time, the Sustainability Award will be presented, honoring a component with significantly improved overall environmental performance.
