What can plastics contribute in terms of sustainability?
This question was at the heart of an event hosted by the International Society for Plastics Engineering/SPE Central Europe on June 27 at the Institute of Plastics Engineering (IKT) at the University of Stuttgart.
Around 30 IKT master’s students had the opportunity to talk with experts from the plastics industry about innovative plastic vehicle components that received awards at the AutomotiveAward. The discussion covered topics such as lightweighting, weight reduction, recycling and the circularity of plastics. The students showed great interest and asked many critical questions. The event was a successful start to a series of dialogues between SPE Central Europe and plastics engineering students at various universities.
