37th Annual General Meeting of SPE Central Europe
on November 24, 2025, at Kastens Hotel Luisenhof, Hanover
The International Society for Plastics Technology (e.V.) / SPE Central Europe looks back on a successful Annual General Meeting. President Bernard Rzepka and Klaus Fricke welcomed members and guests and thanked all sponsors for their support.
The business year was characterized by intensive association work, exciting university events, and the successful execution of the 23rd SPE AutomotiveAward. Particularly pleasing was the growing response from students and the second presentation of the Young Professionals Award, which underscores the importance of promoting young talent. Participation in specialist congresses and discussions on future topics such as sustainability and circular economy also demonstrated the innovative strength of our network.
The financial management was confirmed without objection, and the board was discharged. In the new elections, Bernard Rzepka was elected President, Mathias Grafe as Vice President, Klaus Fricke as Treasurer, and Ursula Mellema as Secretary. Klaus Eue remains auditor and was particularly recognized for his decades of service.
In the coming year, SPE Central Europe has several exciting activities planned. These include the IKV Colloquium in Aachen, the PIAE in Baden-Baden, the TechTalks@Campus event at IKT Stuttgart, and a meeting of the SPE CE Jury at IKK Hanover. These events offer diverse opportunities for professional exchange, networking, and discussions on innovative solutions for the plastics industry. Two new members further enrich our network. Despite economic challenges, the board looks optimistically to the future and relies on innovation and collaboration to further advance the industry.
