YIZUMI Germany GmbH will support a category for the first time next year. For the mechanical engineering company, promoting young scientific talent is particularly important.
At the 22nd SPE AutomotiveAward Night at the end of June in Bonn, the Young Professionals Award was presented again after a long break, recognizing outstanding master’s theses on plastics applications and lightweight design in the automotive sector. SPE Central Europe can now announce that this award will be sponsored by YIZUMI for the first time next year. Dr.-Ing. Nicolai Lammert, Managing Director of YIZUMI Germany GmbH, explains the decision: “It is important to us to involve students in the development of innovative, sustainable solutions. The award motivates young people to engage more deeply with plastics.”
Bernard Rzepka, President of SPE Central Europe, is particularly pleased about this: “YIZUMI’s commitment shows us that we are on the right track with our aim of promoting young scientific talent.” The association not only presents the Young Professionals Award, but also cooperates with several universities and higher education institutions. At events at IKT Stuttgart, IKV Aachen, Ilmenau University of Technology, Schmalkalden University of Applied Sciences, and Chemnitz University of Technology, we present innovative automotive components to master’s students in plastics engineering and discuss with them what role plastics can and should play in a sustainable world.
