The jurors met at Akro-Plastic in Niederzissen
and jointly developed new ideas for the advancement of the renowned SPE AutomotiveAward.
The board of SPE Central Europe had invited participants to an information and discussion forum, and more than half of the jurors of the SPE AutomotiveAward had accepted this invitation. During the event led by Division Chairman Bernard Rzepka and Technical Coordinator Thilo Stier, the jurors submitted numerous proposals for the advancement of the award on January 30 and 31, 2020. Among other topics, they addressed new evaluation criteria such as sustainability and economic viability, greater transparency, and ways to increase the award’s visibility. The future design of the Academy Award, which recognizes master’s theses related to plastics in automotive applications, was also discussed.
