Traditionally, the full Board of SPE Central Europe meets shortly before the end of the year to review the past year and look ahead to the activities of the coming year. This time, Mr Klaus Groth, an SPE member from the USA, was welcomed as a guest. For this reason, the video of the 2016 Award Night was shown again, which the guest praised as very successful. At the end of the meeting, Dr.-Ing. Klaus-Dieter Johnke wishes everyone a Merry Christmas, good health, and a successful New Year, especially with a view to the upcoming Automotive Award.
After the meeting, the Board once again invited the Board members and their partners to a small Christmas get-together. In a short address, President Dr.-Ing. Klaus-Dieter Johnke thanks the Board and the office holders for their commitment over the past year and presents small tokens of appreciation.
Special honours are given to Prof. Dr.-Ing. Rainer Taprogge and Jochen Wanderer on the occasion of their 80th and 60th birthdays, respectively.
Rainer Taprogge is one of the founding members of SPE Central Europe; the international conferences bore his hallmark in terms of content.
For decades, Jochen Wanderer has ensured that brochures, award call-for-entries documents and trade fair overviews are always available on time and in excellent quality.
