SPE Jury Meeting at the Grafe Design Center in Blankenhain

The jurors met at the Grafe Design Center for the SPE Automotive Award to thoroughly review and evaluate the submissions that had passed the initial pre-selection hurdle. In 2019, entries were submitted and evaluated in the parts & components area across the categories of Body Interior, Body Exterior, Power Train, Chassis Unit, Electronical/Optical Part, Structural Component, and Enabler Technology. This year again, representatives from all submitting companies had the opportunity to present their part themselves.

This facilitated the work of the technical coordinators, Dr.-Ing. Rudolf Fernengel and Thilo Stier – often, the innovations are not visible even at second glance, yet some are revolutionary. All participants, both submitters and jurors, are now eagerly awaiting the results, which will be announced at the Award Night on October 14, 2019.

On the eve of the meeting, jurors and organizers gathered for a joint dinner at the Lindner Spa & Golf Hotel Weimarer Land, which all participants used for intensive exchange of ideas.
